Parental Guidance
Records and Reports
We hold Parents' Evenings every term and the work of the children is available for parents to see and discuss with the teachers. Of course, should any difficulty arise at any time, the headteacher or class teacher will be happy to talk with parents about it. Reports are sent home towards the end of the Summer Term.
SATs
In the Summer Term, children in Year 2 and Year 6 will sit the Standard Assessment Tests which are set by the Department for Children, Schools and Families.
The test results form part of each childs on-going Record of Achievement which parents may see by making a request to the headteacher. Eventually, at the end of the secondary stage, the Record of Achiement becomes the property of the child and provides information on progress through the levels of the National Curriculum.
Parents in School
Parents are welcome to help in school where they are of great value to teachers. Help is always needed with mounting displays, cookery, reading and other classroom activities. If you think you would like to help in this way please see a teacher or the headteacher.
