The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in our fundraising activities this school year. The ‘THANK YOU’ goes to staff, pupils, parents, helpers and the people who contribute behind the scenes. It’s been a busy year and we’ve tried to vary our events so that they appeal to everyone in one way or another.
We are always looking for new members, it doesn’t matter if you haven’t time to attend every meeting, please keep on telling us your good ideas!

Dads Football Match
Unfortunately the great British summer let us down and at the very last minute we had to cancel the school football tournament. It was such a shame because we were well prepared with food, drinks and paramedics etc. Well done and thank you to those who turned up (you deserve a medal) and we hope you found a drier alternative for the evening. We want to re-schedule the tournament for September (in place of the Mum’s rounder’s match). If you still wish to take part, we will be compiling a list the first week back.

Year 6 School Leavers Prom
As a special treat for working so hard, the PTFA funded the year 6 leaving prom. As before, the disco Doubletee did a wonderful job and it was lovely to see the children looking and acting so grown up. The PTFA and teachers would like to wish Year 6 the very best for the future. Prom photographs can be purchased direct from Andy on 01709 761519 or www.mcdonnellimages.co.uk.
Fundraising Update
Friendship Bench
Many thanks to Mr Scraughler for all of his hard work making the friendship bench and the class allotment plaques. They are now in place and look absolutely fantastic. The children are so pleased and will most certainly take good care of them.
Sports Equipment
The PTFA have spent £232.70 on new sports and PE equipment for the school. The children will benefit from these in September.
Community Cash Back Award

How to get in touch with us?
Leave a note in the school reception with your name, number and query and we will get back to you asap. Our PTFA mail box is checked on a regular basis.
Pantomime Update
In March 2010 the PTFA would like to raise money for the school by hosting a pantomime with a mixture of staff, parents & year 6 pupils as the cast. We have a script writer with some good ideas, and more importantly, almost a full cast & choir. Auditions for a year 6 child to play Cinderella and other roles will take place in September. We do however, still require a choreographer. If you feel that you could offer your services, please get in touch with us for more details.
Whether you are new to the school or would just like to know more about the PTFA and our fund raising events please do enquire to find out more. Leave a note in the school office.
We are always looking for NEW IDEAS to carry forward for the new school year.
The PTFA would be very grateful for any donations of textiles, threads, fabric or ribbon as we use oddments for various creations within the school. Our latest projects have been the hall piano banner and year 6 Troy Story costumes. We would like to replenish our stocks so that we can start new projects in September.
Yellow Moon
If you wish to place an order direct to Yellow Moon you can visit www.yellowmoon.org.uk. If you quote our unique source code STH1773 the school will receive up to 25% cash back on every purchase.
